OUR Approach

Deep dives into the projects that defined what we do best.

Cantilever Waterfront Terrace Project

The homeowners wanted to transform an underutilized poolside waterfront area into a true outdoor living and entertainment destination. Prior to the renovation, the property had minimal usable space near the water beyond a basic shoreline and existing dock.

Illuminated Harbor Project

This neighboring waterfront project was completed during an active hurricane season and became a real-world demonstration of Bay & Key’s storm-resilient construction methods.

Storm-Resilient Waterfront Project

After multiple hurricanes destroyed the homeowner’s recently built dock, the client sought a long-term hurricane-resilient solution after seeing a neighboring Bay & Key dock survive severe storm conditions with minimal impact.

Estate Boardwalk Project

Completed alongside a new luxury home build by Whitehead Construction, Inc., this project required close collaboration with the builder and homeowners to align the dock design with the architecture, landscape plans, and long-term waterfront usage goals.

Watersports Retreat Project

The snowbird homeowners wanted a clean and efficient waterfront setup, focused on boating access, watersports, and minimal maintenance while spending much of the year outside of Florida, which also required stabilizing their shoreline with a new seawall.

Seawall Restoration Project

This project involved a complete seawall and dock transformation to modernize the property’s waterfront while minimizing disruption to the surrounding landscape. The homeowners selected a synthetic decking system to achieve a low-maintenance waterfront solution..

Marina-Style Floating Dock Project

The homeowners wanted to add a floating dock system capable of accommodating a sport boat within a shallow man-made canal environment. Due to sediment buildup over time, the canal depth was insufficient for the intended boat usage...

Waterfront Passage Project

This project evolved significantly throughout construction as the homeowners expanded the scope to further integrate the waterfront into the home’s outdoor living spaces. Multiple design iterations and permitting revisions.......

Bay Island Dock Project

This project was completed alongside the construction of a new luxury waterfront home. The homeowners wanted to create a future-ready waterfront setup that would support boating, paddleboarding, kayaking....

Bayfront Walkout Dock

This bayfront property did not previously have a dock, and the homeowners wanted to create direct access to the water for jet skis and future boating use. Because the property faced Sarasota....

Curved Waterfront Project

Located on a pie-shaped lot at the end of a canal, this project presented significant design and engineering challenges due to limited waterfront space, setbacks, and an aging seawall. The previous dock layout was awkward, off-centered, and did not maximize the property’s waterfront potential or accessibility.

Harbor Walk Project

This waterfront property originally featured an outdated pressure-treated lumber dock that no longer reflected the homeowners’ desired aesthetic or lifestyle. The clients wanted a more elevated waterfront experience that integrated seamlessly with their landscaping...

Grandchildren’s Landing

Bay & Key designed and built a custom L-shaped waterfront dock for local homeowners looking to create a safer and more accessible boating experience for themselves and their grandchildren. The homeowners wanted a floating dock...
